About Me

James Newbold is a 21 year-old freelance motorsport journalist and First Class graduate of International Relations and Politics at the University of East Anglia (UEA), from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. The purpose behind this blog is to showcase his original works, published and unpublished on mainstream media platforms, offering first-rate analysis of events in contemporary motorsport in a presentable format.

I have been an accredited for the FIA World Endurance Championship, including the Le Mans 24 Hours, and covered the inaugural London ePrix, European Le Mans Series, Blancpain Endurance Series and British GT Championship on-site for a range of specialist motorsport publications including Motorsport.comE-Racing magazine and Endurance Sportscar. 

I currently edit the Racing.GT website and write Press Releases for clients including VIPR Media and Wearegrip.

Previously, I provided distance coverage of NASCAR for The Checkered Flag and Motors TV and was tasked by SRO with running the Blancpain GT and Spa 24 Hour Twitter accounts.

Whilst at university, I expanded my horizons beyond motorsport as the sport editor of ConcreteUEA's student newspaper, developing essential editorial and Adobe InDesign skills covering football, ice hockey and everything in-between, with special emphasis on the Summer of Sport supplement and Derby Day special edition.
